Why On-Page SEO Is Over-Rated


First of all, on-page SEO represents only a very small part in the whole marketing field. It only affects how easy it is for your site to be crawled and indexed by search engines. Indeed, many search engines like Google are improving their indexing algorithm from time to time. If your page has quality content, it is not at big disadvantage than a keyword-filled page. A web page with strong back link juice will be more likely to secure the number 1 spot in search engine results page than an optimized page.

Take an obvious example for illustration. The webmasters at Wikipedia do not need to bother with page-optimization at all, and yet you can see wiki pages being ranked at high spots almost everywhere.
